This is a classic dehumidifier, a quality product that keeps our home more comfortable. Not as loud, fully featured, I like it! I will post again in six months if anything changes.

A must have in the NE.

quiet, works well and able to attach a hose to the back to allow to drain so no need to empty. Have had for over a year and still works as it should.  Great purchase would definitely purchase again.

It gives an accurate reading of the current humidity and just like a thermostat controls temperature, this device will lower the rooms humidity until it gets to the preset point. It is quiet, but has a soothing box fan-like tone as well as a nice breeze of air. In fact it could probably replace a box fan in most instances. Very well made and durable.

Ideal for basement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I justnlive my Amana dehumidifier! We are using it at our lakehouse and ut does a great job! Its also very quiet and super.easy to move around. Id reccomend this to anyone.

Great humidifier, very quiet and lighter weight than most!

The dehumidifier works well, but I didn't think so at first.  Unlike another model we had, this unit doesn't shut off when it reaches the preset humidity level.  It seems to drop about 4% lower than the preset level.  The manual didn't address operation well, so I contacted customer service.  My beliefs were validated and steps were given to try.  I was told if the operation didn't change, to request a replacement.  I did, a replacement was received, but is still in the box.  

I believe the operation is normal, just different than what I was used to.  I think this model shows the exact humidity level, where  the old one may not have.  I would imagine there has to be a difference in shutting down and turning on or the unit would just cycle quickly. 

The unit is quiet, removes water well.  The biggest thing is the small size of the container.  I've emptied it 3 times in about 12 hours.  It would be best to use the drain or pump feature, if you have a floor drain nearby, then it would shine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The amana dehumidifier is a good looking unit that is simple to set up and easy to use. The unit has performed wonderfully in my home and I am excited to have it as it is starting to get hotter and more humid. The catch pan for the water is easily removed and dumped and I like that I have the option to run a hose to the outside if I choose to do so which I may end up doing as the unit does fill fairly quickly in my home. The only negatives I will note are that the fan is fairly loud and could become annoying for some and the unit does exhaust fairly hot air so it's a trade off for dry air. All in all I have been very happy with the unit and am excited to see how it helps this summer,

A product we didn’t know we needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier works well in my basement and helps keep the musty/damp smells under control. It is easy to operate and move around. It’s a little loud, but not terrible. The bucket does fill up pretty quick and needs to be emptied often, but there is also the option to attach a drainage hose to the back, which I prefer over relying on the bucket. Overall, it’s a solid product and works well for my household.
