Something different and special.</p> <h3>Cider Making Process</h3> <p>Culinary and bittersweet apples are harvested fully ripe and stored for up to one month in porous plastic or wooden boxes. The sugar content increases as the apples age, which means more sugar to convert into alcohol during fermentation. The apples are then washed and milled to a pulp before the juice is pressed out. Historically, milling was done in a circular stone trough with a rotating wheel drawn by a horse. These days modern shredders are used, but the end result is the same—pulp that can be pressed into juice.</p> <p>The pulp is then pressed and mashed to capture the juice. Back in colonial days, straw was used to contain the pulp during pressing. Today, electric-hydraulic “rack and cloth” presses are used to press pulp into juice. Wine yeast is added to the juice, which then goes through a lengthy fermentation process in which the sugar is converted to alcohol. During this time, the cider is wood aged, which adds subtle spice and vanilla notes.</p>

If you haven't tried these and you like hard ciders, you gotta try 'em!  They're medium-sweet with just a bit of carbonation so they're smooth going down.  I'm not much for sweet drinks but I can drink these all night.  My daughters turned me on to these and now my father-in-law drinks 'em too.  You could say they're a family-pleaser!  And, they smell like apple cider.

Tasty Alternative to your Daily Beer

To me, this is always the perfect winter/holiday ale.  I love the flavor:  kind of bitter but so good!  If anyone wants to know what I want for Christmas this year, it’s this!  Celebrating dry January at the moment but I’ll finish off the rest of the 12-pack in February and I’ll be waiting until November/December for more!  Cheers!  (Please only read this review if you’re 21.)

A terrific holiday brew!

Perfect for when you need something cold on a hot day! I love these and they have about as much alcohol as a regular beer.

Perfect Summertime Drink

As long as you can have sugar (18-20 grams of sugar per 12 oz bottle) this tastes great! Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it had so much sugar till I already bought it, and I don’t do well with liquid sugar in  my old age, so I won’t drink it. But, I’ll give to guests who aren’t watching their sugar! Delicious!

Nice light taste with low alcohol content and a good alternative to wine.

Pros Good taste easy to drink. 
Cons can only be opened with an opener not a twist off cap and they are very pricey.

first time buyer. more of a beer taste with an apple aftertaste . i was looking for apple cider taste. low alcohol,  good for me. price seems expensive.

Weak flavor, watery, hard to get right at only 5% ABV. Redd's Wicked Apple beer in the 24-oz can has better flavor and is 8% ABV. For the money wine is a better deal @ 10-12% ABV.
