We’ve had above ground pools for about 10 years now. This one went up so smoothly…had some little upgrades in th structure and the way it’s put together. The pump is awesome and is big enough to actually clean the pool. Setup was a breeze. It’s a tad big for our yard but that’s on us, we never learn haha This came with all the accessories needed too!

Easy to fill up with water to the capacity it can safely hold. Cleaning is easy to handle especially with all the great tools that come with it. And the fact it comes with so many accessories to ensure properly running of the filtration to the floater for the chlorine tablets . Stability of the steel frame seems solid which is wonderful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pool set has everything you need. From the pump, to the ladder to the pool. The boxes are of course a bit heavy since they are filled. Everything is quite simple to put together. It definitely takes a couple hours to get everything put up and thats not including if you have to level out a spot in your yard for it. I'm the material feels and looks durable. I am really liking the concept of the pool filtration balls as well. It comfortably fits a family of 4 with floating and could fit more in as well and still have space. I recieved this product free from influenster for my honest opinion.

Durable, time consuming set up but worth it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second best way power steel pool. Upgraded from a smaller one to this 16x48”.  It is Sturdy and easy to assemble. It comes with all the parts you need including a ladder, pump, pool and the frame.

Love our pool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions are very easy to follow. It’s 16x48 it big enough for my family of four to fit i and much more. It seems very stable. I haven’t filled it in yet but it come with everything it come with a latter, the pump, cleaning supplies, and cover for the pool. It’s going to be a great summer love it thanks I can’t wait.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I loved about Bestway 16 x 48 Pool:
- Once it’s up and filled, this pool really feels like a proper backyard pool - not a flimsy kiddie setup. It’s sturdy, spacious enough to hang out with friends and family, and pretty deep for adults to actually enjoy.
- The steel frame feels solid and holds up well once tensioned with water.
- The assembly was manageable with two people ( the ground was properly prepared well in advance). 
- The kit includes the essentials - filter pump, ladder, cover - which makes it easy to get going right away.

The installation reality:
- leveling the ground matter a lot. I had to spend extra time prepping a perfectly flat area before assembling. Without doing that ahead of time, the bottom liner wouldn’t sit evenly and the wall support would t lock in correctly.
- the included filter pump is okay, but not great. It works but it’s underpowered for proper water circulation and cleaning- especially on a bigger pool like this one. I chose to upgrade to a stronger pump to save myself time and aggravation.
- watching YouTube tutorials first really helped me navigate the installation process and avoid a few mistakes.
- I had a couple of small hiccups with hardware connections during the setups - nothing major, but it took a few extra minutes to get everything aligned straight.

Use & maintenance:
- once filled, it felt stable and fun for the summer - exactly what I wanted. But the water clarity and circulation definitely improved after I swapped out the stock pump.
- frequent cleaning of the cartridge isn’t a big deal, but I quickly started to appreciate a larger filter system when the pool started to get heavy use.

Final impression:
Overall, this pool gave me a true backyard swimming experience at a fraction of the cost of professional installations. It’s sturdy and reasonably easy to set up. Just be ready to prep the ground well and be open to upgrading the pump for easier maintenance.

Real pool experience at a fraction of the cost

We had to wait a couple of weeks to put up the pool due to groundwork being needed. The pool was super easy to put together and we LOVE the pool. However, after putting everything together, we hooked the pump up and it wouldn't work. I thought okay, no big deal.  It's Sam's, I'm sure there is an easy fix for this issue, and we can't be the first people this happened to, right?!? Well think again! I was FLOORED when the chat rep (which was the only contact I could get for this), told me that the only option I would have was to repackage everything in the SAME BOX and return it to them for a refund/replacement. I said, uh...did you miss the part where I said it has been put together and filled already? They said it didn't matter. Because it was sold as a bundle, they can't assist with just part of that having an issue. So, be warned with the bundles, maybe plug the pump up first. I guess my expectation of buying from SAM's with confidence that if something is wrong that they would make it right, was not met in this instance. Nowhere near it! Again, the pool is a 5-star rating all the way! It's fabulous! Sam's customer service was a -2 if that. I was surprised to say the least.  I felt that it would be a safe investment with SAM's and it was a fabulous deal! It seems that now I will have to buy a new pump for my new pool. After 3 chats of which I saved all 3 transcripts from June 4th starting at 7:12PM EST after I got off work ended with me being told to factory package a fully assembled pool in the same box it came in and send it back was the only way to get a resolution.  WOW, just WOW! I understand that it's a bundle but seriously, you have no way of improvising? I'm attaching pictures but the filter looks NEW because it is so, I'm not sure what the picture is good for.

We were so excited to set up our first pool. We ordered the Bestway 16 foot round above ground pool. We leveled and prepped our yard and took a day off work to set up the pool. The supplies were well packaged and securely wrapped inside. We took everything out and counted all the pieces before beginning the process of building the pool. Unfortunately, we noticed a cut through the liner as we started to open it. The kit comes with a few patches, so we decided to patch the inside and outside of the liner (the cut was through the bottom of the pool) and proceed with set up as we were on a very strict time line because of work schedules and this particular sized pool is not sold in our local Sams Club.

We continued set up yesterday with no other problems and began to fill the pool. We have now noticed a pinhole leak on the sidewall and used another patch for it. We are upset that a brand new pool that we have yet to swim in already has a few issues. 

I would love for the company to reach out about additional patches and a possible replacement for when this one inevitably dies because it was never in pristine shape.

Pool liner arrived with hole

Do not buy this pool came with holes and the seam leaked as we filled it up. Waste of time and money.

Don’t buy this

I ordered this pool online because we are over 2 hours away from a Sam’s Club. Put it up. It leaked. They offered a replacement and to send a pickup if we could package it back in the same box for pickup. I told them there was no way we could fold this thing back up and fit it in the same box and close it up the way it came from the manufacturer. He said they would “try to find a carrier that would take it with the box open “ Good luck with that. The customer service rep was very nice but we have decided to try to find the leak on a $400 pool and keep it.
