We purchased this item to make shaved ice for Halo Halo.

Great for Halo Halo

This little machine works great!  Shaved ice in no time and just a few ice cubes really makes a lot of shaved ice.   The grand kids love it.  I used the recipes in the book included to make my own syrup from real fruit - delicious and so much healthier than the other sugary syrups.

WARNING: Do not buy this product. I almost buy three of this product due to its price but good thing I thought to myself that I will try this one first and good thing I did that! Got the package and told my wife to try it, first try without ice, run good. Bought ice, first try with ice good but it created some freaky noise… second try did good again. On the third try with ice on it… DID NOT WORK ANYMORE! We’re preparing dessert after a good meal and voila! Just three tries and IT IS DONE! Such a waste of money and time…

I love this little ice maker! I'm an ice chewer and I know it's bad for my teeth, so I figure this reduces the damage, right? Makes it much softer on the teeth. Gabe it a 4☆ because after only doing 1 little bowl, the motor starts to smell.  I hope it doesn't burnout on me, because I truly love it!

I LOVE ICE!

This ice shaver works very well. It is very cute and functional. Even though it is a flimsy feeling and made item. The ice that it shaves is very fine and of great quality. I don’t regret buying it and I would buy it again. It is a nice item for the price.

Great ice shaver

This is perfect for a cool treat! I love how it takes regular ice cubes, instead of a special size. The ice is shaved to a fine consistency. Not a Hawaiian shaved ice really, but this really is perfect. I sometimes just eat the ice plain! No syrup needed. I also used the ice in my drinks instead of regular ice cubes. Super easy to use and clean and a great price! I hope it lasts

Love this!

Love this applicance!  However, there are some things to know...it works much better if the ice is SMALLER in the beginning AND if the device is packed pretty full.  The device is GREAT though and I am glad I bought it!  Hasn't left my counter since it arrived!

Love this appliance!

This is a nice little ice crusher.  From the results, it's definitely not much of an ice "shaver".  It makes excellent finely crushed ice though.  The unit is very noisy, and emits a strong (ozone?) smell while working.  Otherwise, it doesn't seem to affect the operation much.

I was looking something that makes shaved ice, or ice that's more finely "shaved".  For those looking for finely crushed ice for drinks, this is excellent.  For shaved ice desserts, this might produce results that are a bit too "chewy" or crunchy.

To clean, just shake out all the loose ice and put it on the drying rack.  There's doesn't seem to be any reason to soap or actively "clean" it.

It Didn't work. It wouldn't even turn on. I ordered it online and it was delivered. I tried it and ...notihing. I hope I just got the only one that doesn't work. Now I have to go into a store to return it. :(

Disappointed. I hope I just got a bad one.

It's very hit and miss as far as working through the ice cubes and I have to rinse and wipe the blade and start over just to make a cup full of ice. Since I bought 4 bottles of syrup I will not return it but it isn’t as efficient as I had imagined it would be.
