I had a whamodyne fancy sucky bag machine that had bells whistles and flashing lights. You know if it has all that stuff it has to be better. It lasted about 3 years and quit sealing properly. So I bought this simple sucky bag machine. Not disappointed at all. About half the cost of a fancy one but does the job and fits in a drawer with all the bags and accessories. You won’t be disappointed.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for a busy household and the size was appreciated as it will fit into a kitchen drawer and be readily available.

The force needed to close the unit took some getting used to but it is just fine. There is much less waste of plastic above the seal than that on my fifteen-year old unit. I love that. I do miss the retractable accessory hose. However, I really don't use it much and I suppose I will get used to clicking the detachable hose in as well. Most of all, I love the low profile. i think it is the smallest and lightest model. I can easily slip it into the drawer. I don't miss extra functions such as Gentle and Moist.

Love the Simplicity and Size

This VS1260 has a small footprint. I can store it on its back in the cupboard that holds the crockpot with no issues. I'm still learning how to cut bags evenly and with enough headspace. It would be nice if the attachments could be stored "inside" the device, like some of the other models, but I bought the "great sale" unit, and I am pleased. I haven't used it often, but it is user friendly.

Small space item

I purchased this unit to seal canning jars. Works well. It doesn’t store a roll or does not have a bag cutter but I have a food saver with those options on it already 

Wanted this to do canning jars. You can use scissors to make bags and it is flat enough to fit in a drawer.

Cost efficient and easy to store

I LOVE the foodsaver products! After my Dad passed away I got his foodsaver and have been using it for 7 years. I don't know how old it is but the accessory hose stopped pumping and I use way too many containers not to have that! So I bought a new one and love it just as much. Wouldn't buy any other brand!

Wouldn't buy any other brand

This is a Christmas gift, so it has not been opened.  It was received with the internal slip and no outside packaging.  It did not seem damaged.  It appears to be a money saving measure which is pretty bad if the product is going to be presented as a gift.  
Now Food Saver is charging me for a subscription I did not authorize or are interested in.  I will purchase refills as I need them, not when you want to make a new charge.  Please eliminate my non authorized subscription from your processing.

Terribly disappointed!

I am frustrated with this sealer.  I am unable to close the sealer tightly, and because of this I am unable to seal my food.  After about 15 minutes of pressing on the sealer I finally heard a click and the sealer sealed.  I have tried to seal food 5 different times and I have the same difficulty.  I will be sending this sealer back.

Difficult to seal

This vacuum sealer is junk. It struggles to turn on. When it does turn on it doesn’t vacuum all the air out. Then seals the bag with lots of air inside. I then have to wait 10-15 minutes for it to vacuum again. This is only my second time using now it’s headed for the trash.

Stay away

I own a FoodSaver 4800 Series 2-in-1 Automatic Vacuum Sealing System.  It cost more because it does more.  More importantly, it vacuums the air of a bag and seals it right the first time. The VS1260 is a test in patience.  No cutter is part of the issue but the crux is, it just won’t vacuum and seal without a LOT of fuss.  I’d send this back and upgrade if I could
