This microwave is the right size for my kitchen and simple to use. I love the quick preset buttons and add 30 seconds button... I use them for almost everything. Defrost works great too. The best part for me is that it is easier to clean than my last one.

Great microwave!

Bought to replace 24 year old GE microwave. Unit is good. Only miss that there's not a reheat function as the other, but otherwise, good microwave. If you need instructions, like me, then go to the GE website, using the model number, and download the instructions for use.

Recommend

Purchased at a great price. I'm enjoying the size, not over big or bulky. And the auto lock safety feature is great if you have children or grandkids. Works great! Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

Great Microwave, Price , Quality, and Features

I love GE microwaves and when our finally died after more than 10 years of daily use. We bought this one for a quick replacement because we wanted to test downsizing. We love it so far EXCEPT for an irritating lock they have put on it. Everytime it completes a cook time, it locks the door. You have to unlock the door before you can open it. Therefore I am giving 4 stars because the lock is so irritating.

Locking door

Nice basic small microwave. 900 watts takes a little longer to heat, but does a nice job. Good for the price. We are remodeling our kitchen and took down the microwave over the range and are moving it inside a cabinet. We need the smaller unit to fit the cabinet. With this microwave you just need to add another 30-45 seconds to the recommended time on packages.

Nice Microwave

Very good product. I had my previous microwave for 20 years. With having a new one I did not realize the loss of ability over time. This new one hears much faster. It looks very good and blends in well with my other stainless appliances. Very simple to set up and the keypad is easy to understand. It does not have a clock.

Good microwave

Good micriwave, went from a 1200W to this at 950. It really does take multiple times to get something hot. I needed a new one and thought i would downsize. It has a smaller footprint which is desirable. However, just know sometimes it will take twice as long to reheat.

Good microwave, heating limitations

The GE 1.1 cu. ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven is a solid budget-friendly option if you're looking for something simple and cost-effective. It gets the job done for basic heating and reheating without breaking the bank. The size is practical for most kitchens, and the controls are straightforward and easy to use.

That said, it's not without its drawbacks. The biggest issue is the noise level—it runs noticeably loud compared to other microwaves, which can be a bit jarring, especially in quieter spaces. It also doesn't heat food as quickly as expected, so you may find yourself adding extra time more often than you'd like.

Overall, it's a decent choice if affordability is your priority, but if you value speed and quieter operation, you might want to consider other options.

Cost efficient

I have the microwave sitting on the counter with pleanty of side and back clearance. When i use it the cabinet gets so hot it scares me. Also the turn table even when sitting properly makes a jerking motion. I have always trusted GE until now. I would take it back to the store but no longer have the box. Very dissapointed.

Too hot to handle!

This is just a little too cheap. It replaced a 25 year old microwave that had better functionality than this one! The door and sounds (beeping) are too loud. The power is too low and it takes much longer to heat food than expected. It does not even have a popcorn sensor to know when the bag is done. I doubt I can return it, but I would if I could. I hope this review helps someone else.

Not best choice

ge 1.1 cu. ft. capacity countertop microwave oven centered front view with stainless steel finish and black glass door, right-side LED clock and preset numeric keypad, GE logo on lower bezel, visible interior turntable; compact 20.31 in width, 950 watts, and bonus pasta cooker accessory suitable for quick meal prep.
