This is an excellent garage door opener. It even connects to wifi, so you can open and close remotely using your phone. I replaced an old Genie chain drive that was 1/3 horsepower. This one is much more powerful. Those who are complaining that it isn't powerful have obviously over- tightened the belt. The belt does not need to be super tight. That causes drag. 
It was fairly easy to install using the existing mounts from the previous garage door opener.It took me a total of a couple of hoiurs, including setting up the remotes. Everything works well. The instructions were clear. And I connected it to the remote and to a keypad remote I had from the previous one. It's extremely quiet and causes no problems at all.

Excellent, quiet, powerful, remotes and wif

Extremely quiet and fairly easy to install. Just needed help mounting the brackets to the ceiling.  Cannot get over how quiet the unit is. Used old wires that were with old unit and things went very smoothly.

Genie Opener Review

This is a great garage door opener for an excellent price. The belt drive makes the unit a lot quieter than my old opener which had a chain. It's been a while since my last install of a garage door opener but all went as planned. The interactive instructions provided through BILT were easy to follow. The opener uses rolling codes for higher security so is took a few tries to get it to work with my car's HomeLink. However I was able to easily replicate the process for my other vehicles. I love the fact that the garage door opener connects to my WiFi as it allows me to check the status of the garage door from anywhere and also open & close the garage remotely.

Excellent Garage door opener, competitively priced

Very good value. Easy to setup, quiet the only thing that seems to be a problem is that the remotes are universal and looks like the vehicle home link won't take the signal coming from the remote to program it.

Good product

This items clearly has problems I have one that installed and works okay but the other now has a new board installed and now needs a new encoder so who knows how long it will last. Genie is more than happy to keep shipping you new parts but what about all the time spent working on this piece junk that was new out of the box. Waist of time buy something else!

Hit or Miss

We wanted wifi garage door openers to replace Chamberlin screw drive 1/2 HP units that were working fine  The two 3155L units purchased at Sam's are rated at  1 Hp by Genie and are absolute junk.  They strain to open our 8 x18 ft door, even though I can lift the door with my index finger when free from the opener; so the door is balanced with the springs to almost zero weight  needed to open.  Called Customer service and asked how they really rate these electric motors; they have no clue. As what do we do in the winter when it gets cold, will they have a enough power to open our doors?  The track system is absolutely junk with no way to tie the connected pieces together, they are a loose fit. Tried for 5 hours to get the unit to move the belt so I could set up the lift and down position, again total junk buttons for pushing to program.
