Superior Features of Rabbiteye Brightwell Blueberry

The Rabbiteye Brightwell Blueberry is a top-tier selection for garden enthusiasts looking for a mid-season variety that offers a high yield. This plant is renowned for its large, delicious berries and thrives in a variety of climates, especially in USDA Zones 7-9. With its impressive adaptability and reliable productivity, Brightwell blueberries are ideal for fresh consumption, baking, or preservation.

Care and Maintenance

The Brightwell Blueberry plant demands full sun exposure and well-drained, acidic soil with a pH ranging between 4.5 and 5.5 for optimal growth. Regular watering is essential for healthy root development and maximum fruit production. To encourage new growth each season and enhance airflow, prune in late winter to remove any dead or weak branches.

Plant Growth Habits

This robust shrub typically reaches a mature height of 6' to 8' with an upright growth pattern, making it an excellent choice for garden borders or as a standalone feature. The lush green foliage offers an attractive backdrop, while the ornamental flowers that bloom in early spring add a touch of seasonal beauty.

Planting Instructions

For the best results, choose a sunny location and dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball, ensuring that the base of the plant is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, water thoroughly, and apply a 2"-3" layer of mulch around the base to help retain moisture. Space the plants approximately 5'-6' apart to allow for healthy growth and easy harvesting.

Packaging

Loved the size a very beautiful looking plant. Better then i expected!
I bought it for my daughter for mothers day. It arived on time and in great condition! We put it in a planters box so it could spread out and grow! Its doing great!!
This was a gift she never expected and she was thrilled! She absolutely loves it!!! Thank you and i definitely would would order another one!!

Bought for Mother's Day and it was a HIT!!

I ordered Brightwell Blueberry plants, 2 of them. They were boxed up very well and arrived beautifully in tact. These blueberry plants are much bigger than expected and are mature plants!! When they arrived, I opened the boxes and immediately planted them. I'm so happy to say that my blueberry plants are budding and I'm excited to have blueberries this season!!! I highly recommend these plants from Sam's!!

Beautiful plants

Purchased 2 of these, and they arrived quickly and in great shape. Planted them, and now I wait to see what happens. Hopefully we will have fresh berries this spring time.

Blueberries

Beautiful plants! These came packaged really well. The plants are very large, healthy, and ready to produce.

Gorgeous plants!

Arrived in a timely manner. They were healthy and had a good root system. Already bearing clusters of immature blueberries!

Ready to bake!

Planted my plant right away, and its doing great

Received my plant. Looks like a bunch of dead twigs. Sure did not look like the picture. Included a paper talking about it hibernating. We will see.

Sealed looking twigs

I've bought these blueberry bushes a few times and both times they died soon after I got them. I've ordered other plants that survived. But I haven't received even one blueberry plant that ever survived. I supposedly have the best soil and climate for this plant so I think I might be receiving blueberry plants that are too far gone. Most of the limbs were dried out and brittle.

They were practically dead

i bought two about 3 years ago. however, one survived and i submitted the picture to AI Gemini. i was told that it iss Austrailian Blue Berry not for human snacking.

Th plant lived 2 days then died. This was my 2nd one that Sam’s resent because the first one showed up completely dead. Won’t be ordering another.

Unhealthy plants that die quickly
