Love the tablets and stability of the chlorine mixture. They keep my pool nice and clear for a low cost.

Chlorine tablets low cost

Chlorine tabs are the perfect size for chlorinators. Although the cost is higher than a few years ago, it's still affordable.

Because pools are expensive to build, own and maintain I always look for who has what I need on sale or for the best price. Sam’s has been my go to place for chlorine for 6 years now

Good chlorine at a good price

Product does what it’s designed to do. The individual packs are great but not flawless. Some packs are already opened before taking them out of the bucket to use.

Convenient but not perfect packaging

The cost is still too high being that were once $99 per bucket, the cost raised by shortage and no longer a shortage, the manufacturer is still overpricing the tablets

Chlorinate Tablets

Thought it was a 50# bucket but it’s a 40# bucket at a price that should have 50. The incredible world of shrinking products and charging the same or more. Ethically, it’s not in alignment with good karma.

This is 40#’s, not 50#’s which is standard

Full of stabilizer. Great is you have a sand filter, not so much with a cartridge filter. Had to drain the pool to get rid of the stabilizer. Too much of a good thing is bad.

Too much of a good thing

These tablets release way too much Cyanuric Acid (CYA). We just opened our new pool and added stabilizer that would have contributed about 10 ppm. We added two tablets to the dispenser that haven't fully dissolved yet. These tablets should release about 2.5 ppm for a 10,000 gallon pool. Our pool is about 14,500 gallons. I took my first water test into Leslie's and my CYA was already at 31 ppm. It should only be half that. Leslie's said it was happening to other customers who bought their tabs from Sam's. Too much CYA will make your other pool chemicals have to work harder costing you more money. I don't like my CYA to get over 70, otherwise it causes issues. I will have to reduce tablets to 1 tab and probably drain partially before end of season. So while these tabs seem like a bargain, they're really not because it will cost more money to manage the CYA now. So if you use these, monitor your CYA levels and maybe use half the tabs you normally do.

Releases TOO MUCH CYA

These chlorine tablets contain trichloro-s-traizinetrione which increases your   cyanuric acid which can cause chlorine “lock” and it’s unsafe to swim in when levels are high. I’ve had to drain my pool half way to lower the number and had to go to a different type of chlorine tablet.

Use caution causes chlorine lock

Definitely pay attn to the %’s. I bought these last season and used about half. They were a good price. Opened the pool this year, now we have to drain and start over because of the CYA. Better price is not always best.

Would never recommend these tablets
