Assembling the Telescope was initially a bit challenging, so it took some time trying to put all the pieces together. We got the black one that came with the cell phone mount which I was happy about this feature. The stand appears very supportive and solid. The size of the telescope was not too big for my kids to use. After assembling, the kids and I tested out the views on the telescope outside in the backyard. To our surprise, the views were amazing and there was great focus! We were able to view the moon and stars. Overall this National Geographics Telescope does not disappoint. My family will enjoy this for years!

AWESOME TELESCOPE

Got this telescope as a fun activity for my nephew when he stays over. I wrapped it up as an early Christmas present and he was so excited. We got it set up which was very quick and easy. The all black is very sleek looking and looks great in the corner of the guest room. The packing was efficient and protective. The cell phone mount was a really nice feature it helped my nephew fully see everything because he is a little young but he loves space so I couldn’t pass it up

Great way to see the sky!

This is a pretty cool telescope. The design is very nice where is looks good to keep it out instead of having to put it away everytime you want to use it. The moon is a sight to see with this telescope and kt is very easy to locate with the laser sight. All the adjustments are easy to fine toon where you are looking at without skipping over them. Lastly the tray at the bottom to hold the extra sights is a great addition. All in all this is a very well thought out and well designed telescope for a family that wants a little closer look at the night sky.

Well thought out design

It was amazing to see the detail of our moon, like the craters, and what looked like hills or mountainous regions.  It was interesting to see what we believe is Jupiter.  It looked bluish with different light color swirls.  It has been fun to go out on clear nights and look at things.  I gave it 4 stars because it was hard ro set up.

Easy to setup, easy to use. There was a lot of vibration so it was hard to keep it steady. To make small movements was almost impossible because the stand was not the greatest. We were able to see the moon but took a lot of work.

Okay….

Excited to get and set up.  Tried several times to use but couldn’t even see the full moon through the telescope.  Was clearer and brighter with naked eyes. Returned for refund.  Was so disappointed!

Not as advertised

Doesn't work.  Disappointing Christmas gift to my young nieces and nephew.  Sam's Club and his ridici-scope made Aunty look like a fool.

Merry Christmas?  Maybe not!

This telescope was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear enough to assemble; however, we cannot figure out how to reduce the zoom. If we find the moon, it is so strong you can’t make anything out. We’ve used a telescope before and it was never this difficult. All this to say, it has been useless for us and is now taking up space. It is very light.
