This washer is amazing. Washed all my king blankets no problems. I wash using deep fill all the time. Quiet!!! I hate front loads. Love this top load.

Amazing washer

lg.com/ca

I bought this washer for my horse barn. It has a large capacity for washing horse blankets. So far it has been doing a great job. Sometimes we have to use extra rinse with extra dirty blankets but they come out nice.

I just purchased this unit and already love it I just purchased this unit and already love it! I had one just like it before and had to leave it with the sale of my house. back with LG and appreciate how well it cleans the clothes. it's also a very quiet unit just takes care of business. I love the huge capacity and ability to do large items is bedding and rugs and such. no trips to the laundromat for me!

Great unit you won't be disappointed!

lg.com

I have this for a month now. What I liked about it, is it is much quieter than my previous. I am happy LG improved on their mechanical components in their newest iteration of the top load machines. My previous LG washing machine lasted 6 years before I had to get a new one due to loud noises and the motor gears grinding.

Went with Consumer Reports Recommendations

Large capacity and very quiet. The AI cleaning mode is great. Plenty of selections for water temperature, soil level, and spin speed. The app is great. Two minor dislikes. You can't silence the tune when the wash is started and completed. The lid is sloped down towards you. Great washer!

Excellent washer!

Our first LG have been Maytag for the last 35 years. Went with Consumer Report recommendation. Very quiet. It would be great if there was a breakdown of what spin, soil cycles to choose for the different types of loads. Our previous washer had a selection for delicate , I guess we are left to determine how we set it up by selecting the spin and soil from low to high. Otherwise we have put through 6 washes so far and all is great.

New Washer WT8400CW from LG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Horrible. The little spin thing is not strong enough to clean anything. I would be better off spinning it by hand. I've uploaded a video for yall to see

Not great

I have been using this washer for 2 months now and I am very disappointed. The detergent dispensing tray on this top load washer is very poorly designed. The detergent does not fully rinse from the tray and once a wash cycle is done, the leftover residue that's sitting in the tray and along the dispenser chute continue to drip onto the finished load. So unless the clothes are removed instantly after the cycle is done, you will return to your machine to fine a large puddle of detergent sitting on top of your freshly rinsed clothes forcing you to run another rinse & drain cycle. This is a definite flaw in the dispenser design as my machine is perfectly level, excellent water pressure, and I use a detergent with a very thin viscosity. So no excuses there.

Avoid buying this machine

I bought this within the past 2 months and I've never been so disappointed with an LG product as I am in this washer / dryer set. I only ever use the recommended liquid laundry detergent and fabric softener that is allowed in the drawer yet when my clothes have been washed and I take them out they're completely covered in fabric softener still. I then have to rinse my clothes again.

Honestly LG what are you thinking putting your name to this garbage.

Between the washer not completely washing my clothes I am then faced with damp clothes coming from the dryer 😞

I end up having to finish drying denims using a clothes rack.

You can do better than this! I've purchased lots of LG products and this pair of appliances is your worst to date!

Worse products ever. Do better LG!

Do not buy this washer. It has great features like large capacity and an agitator. BUT it has a cheap chintzy low quality detergent distribution container that breeds mold!! Totally unreasonable for a top loader.
This detergent distributor slants back so it retains liquid and you have to remove it to dry it. Plus instructions state you have to remove it to clean it.
Try to remove this cheap plastic part!!! You have to force it out of the washer - depress the cheap plastic tab then jiggle the tray - and just as it feels as if it will snap apart - grab it and pull with all your might
Horrible. Then clean and scrub and disinfect it then dry it before replacing it in the washer.

Normal wash cycle defaults to Hot water. Have to change it each time. HE detergents say to use cold water!
And the AI cycle. Who needs it! Complexity for no reason. Just give us a gentle cycle
Oh and if you like to fold the dried laundry in a small laundry room - you can't pile it on the washer or the dryer - because LG has the lids slanted and the folded clothes just roll off.
Bad bad design overall.

Terrible design and cheap parts
