They saved the day during a hot lake visit. I had the foresight to buy 2 and my family members would move them around our RV camp to lay them sideways on the ground for shade when the sun was going down. 

They did blow over with the strong microbursts, but I didn't have a weighted holder for them-- so I can't complain about that. 

I got it in blues because I didn't want to attract bees/wasps. Though I actually love the rainbow color too. But the blues were very cheerful as well. 

At the lake the winds were too strong to put it in the sand. I just sat on my chair in the shade and held it. They work great for keeping cool. Even while setting up the tent my husband (who had complained about my purchasing "more junk") changed his unhappy tune and had me hold it over him while he hammered in the stakes!

Sometimes I'd put it in the door of my tent to keep me from the hot son when I sat in there to rest. 

I couldn't find these cheaper anywhere else, and I was happy about the price (it seems I paid a little under $35 each-- don't quote me-- I'm not great with numbers!)

I love that these have a carrying bag too. 

And they were bigger than I realized. I used to own a 6 foot umbrella and there was a big difference with those 2 extra feet-- of course!

This is the best beach umbrella on the market today (especially for the price) .  I have bought 3 of these in the past only because I'm scared that the 1st one will finally give out and I'll be stuck on the beach without an umbrella.  First one 7 years and still going strong.  3rd one I just bought will stay in the box unopened and stored just in case Sam"s discontinues.

Bought same umbrella six years ago and its still going strong! Use it at the beach  and holds its own with wind from ocean. Bought this one for a gift.

Great umbrella

These umbrellas were perfect.  We bought 3 to cover our 6 chairs and it was exactly enough coverage.  We liked that they tilt and have the carrying bags.  Worked great all week long, used everyday.

I was expecting a pretty good umbrella with the Member's Mark name attached to it. Little did I know the umbrella was going to be incredibly well built and easily worth 5X it's asking price. Would recommend to ANYONE

Amazing Umbrella with carrying case

This is a great umbrella as this is my second one I have purchased in five years.  They hold up very well, my only reason for giving it 4 starts is that they changed the pole. The old style was much easier to put into the ground.  It had a cross bar the fit through a hole to help you twist it in to the ground where as the newer version you have to just push it in.  Both are great products just wish they didnt change the bar.

I purchased one of these umbrellas around 10 or 12 years ago and like it so much I, finally, bought a new one.  The aluminum shafts make it light, the fiberglass ribs give it strength, and the fabric is solid. 
One weak spot has been upgraded - the connection point between the two shafts now has spring steel buttons/tabs to lock the pieces together.  This replaces the previous plastic latch that didn't work well and didn't last long - I had to drill a hole and use a bolt & wing-nut to hold it together.  The only remaining weak spot is the hinge that allows the umbrella to be angled.  I assume it's the same relatively cheap alloy from the original/earlier version - once this fails, the umbrella is pretty useless for me.  
I'm looking forward to and expecting years of use.  I would have purchased the model that has the rod/handle and auger tip, but, I couldn't justify doubling the price.

Solid umbrella, great value

I really love this umbrella. I love the bright colors. The fabric and structure is well made and resilient.  My only reason for the 4 star and not the 5 is because of the manner to open and close the umbrella.  You need upper arm strength and some core work because getting the umbrella open takes some strength. Closing is the same thing. I have to remove it from the table, so I can reach the mechanism and have a better angle to open and close the umbrella. If you are a tall, strong man or woman, you'll love this.  I still love it, but I don't open it as often as I'd like.

SUNSHINE ON MY UMBRELLA

Great umbrella that was assembled in a factory, on Friday in China. Took it on a beach vacation to find it missing the pole connector. It wasn’t even drilled out to shove a temporary screw fix through. Being stuck with it at this point, I used an old umbrella pole to make it work. It’s a great umbrella but quality control is a crapshoot. I would have returned it but it was vacation and the nearest Sam’s club was an hour plus away.
