Great Grill - Horrible Delivery Experience
I am impressed with the quality of this grill. It is very heavy duty and well designed. The assembly instructions and the way the boxes are labeled is very well organized. Assembly is quite simple, however, the box is very heavy and the grill when assembled is also very heavy so potential buyers should plan accordingly for the weight of the box and finished product. The delivery of the grill is another story completely. The freight company that delivered my grill was terrible. They failed miserably on service and then lied to Sam's and to me with regard to their failed service. The driver apparently decided to end his day before completing my delivery so indicated that the address was incorrect, which was not the case. The driver then lied stating that he tried to reach me, but again that was not the case. There was no communication from the delivery company at all, so I waited 2 entire days for the delivery. The grill finally showed up 2 days past the original delivery date with a heavily damaged box. Fortunately the grill was packaged very well so there was no damage to the grill itself.
Pellet Grill
This thing is a beast. I love it so far. I Did an over night smoke, no problem. I love the smoke box. You can get the charcoal flavor now. The smokebox works better at high temps for sure. Had a pitboss classic for 5 years and I put a beating on it. I like this one way better.
So far very pleased
Setup was a fun project. I struggled to get one of the back screws for the hotplate attachment but that was partially my screwdriver. Worked great and I'm happy with the results. I will be laying down some aluminum foil next time to help keep things nice. I did notice that things did tend to grill faster closer to the heat source but that may have had to do with needing to let things heat up completely or starting at a lower temperature on the grilling spectrum while figuring out how it functions. Looks great too.
So far so good
Cons- damaged parts received Pros- so freaking easy to use. A true set and forget kind of cooking. Sooo much easier than charcoal smoking. I smoked 2 racks of pork ribs, a 12lb brisket, and a Boston butt. 6 hours at 225 and ribs were too tender to cut. I'm used to it taking 6-8 hours on my old smoker. 2 meat probes is perfect because 7 hours in, I can easily check both hunks of meat still on the grill. So excited! Get your fave pellets- not much flavor with the Sams bag. I'm used to a forward hickory flavor.

Not worth the cost
Poor choice for smoker and here's why. After cooking a verity of foods, burgers, roast and brisket the follow are the problems I experienced. It will not hold temperature at an acceptable range, it will deviate as much as 60 degrees +/-. The grease catch is under the cooker and behind the frame so it's hard to get to. The meat probes when setting side by side have a reading 20 degrees different from each other regardless of which port they are plugged into. These issues out weigh the heavy build, included cover and side burner. I returned mine and do not recommend this brand of grill / smoker.
We are very sorry that you had this experience. It seems there may have been some assembly errors or maybe a part damaged in shipping/transport causing the issues you experienced. We would love to hear more feedback. You can contact us at 855-735-9922 or help@fairgameus.com
Did not dissapoint!
I recently purchased this without seeing it in person, which made me a little nervous. However, it was within my budget, and since I’ve had a great experience with a Member’s Mark gas grill before, I decided to take the chance. I'm so glad I did! It arrived securely on a pallet with no damage. Assembly is never the most fun, but the instructions were clear, and every part and screw was accounted for. The overall build quality is excellent, and I love the double-wall construction. I haven’t tackled a big cook yet, but based on what I’ve tried so far, it will handle low and slow cooking with ease. I researched the maker of this grill and they make quality products. If you're on the fence, go for it—you won’t be disappointed!
Very Impressed!
Simply can't beat this for the money. I was about to pull the trigger on a Campchef Woodwind Pro 36 when I just stumbled upon this guy and saved $1000.00. It is built like a tank. Double wall insulated...there are a lot of smokers/grills out there that cost a LOT more than this one that don't have that. The instructions were easy to follow, and if you read all the way through them, it gives detailed instructions on how to do the initial burn in as well as how to use it each time thereafter. It also walks you through the proper way to shut it down each time. I moved to this from a 30" Electric smoker, and the abilities of this blow my old one out of the water. My first smoke was a pork butt for pulled pork as well as some chicken wings. Hands down the best bark and taste I've ever gotten on the pork. DELICIOUS! The ability to add wood chunks or charcoal is what really send this smoker over the top. Most pellet grills leave a lot to be desired in the smokey flavor department, not this one! I will say, getting the smoke box to work properly did take some trial and error. I found that leaving the heat deflector up as high as it will go underneath the drip tray makes a huge difference. It's on a hinge, so it's easy to move, I just had it all the way down from when I put it together. Also, don't overload the smoke box with wood, 2-3 pieces max is what I've found. I ended up putting in a couple pieces of charcoal as far back in the box as they would go, then adding a piece or two of wood. The charcoal caught easily, which then helped to keep the wood smouldering. Overall I can't express how amazed I am with how well built this smoker is for $500.00. One thing that I think is definitely worth mentioning is this; don't try and use it in the rain or snow. It tells this in the instruction manual as well, but sometimes people don't like to read. I don't know all of the specifics as to why, but they do tell you not to. I assume it's due to the humidity possibly messing up the pellets. My elctric smoker was able to go no matter the weather, so I thought this was important to mention. I plan on buying a canopy or something in order to keep mine out of the rain/snow. I went and picked mine up from the store, with some friendly employees to help me lift it in the truck and my son at home to help me get it out. I didn't want to risk dealing with some of the horror stories of getting it shipped to me.
Best Grill on the Market
Fantastic Grill. Solid construction and holds temp impressively well. The smoke tray works great and really let's whatever wood you want to flavor your food shine far more than pellets alone. I would buy this grill again. In fact I sold my other brand new pellet grill after getting this because it is just that good.
Double walled Oven
i bought this over a 1yr ago and i love it. i have had other pellet grills but this one is the best one so far. 1. more even heat 2. uses less pellets because it is doubled walled. 3. get's hotter than any of the others,(450°even the Minnesota winters)
Best value of any pellet grill on the market, IMO.
I wanted to wait until I had used this cooker 6-7 times before reviewing. This will be a long review. First off, assembly: Putting this together was easy but it still takes at least 2 hours. All parts very well packaged. Seasoning the grill: Do not make the mistake of completely filling the smoker box with wood when seasoning. I was excited like a kid on Christmas so I put too much wood in and then running it at 400° + caused an issue with smoke coming up out of the pellet box instead of flowing into the cooking chamber. Has NEVER happened again since I cut back a little on the wood at startup. I found a thread on this cooker on Reddit that explained the issue, but it's never happened again after realizing it was user (my) error. Cooking review: This thing produces excellent ribs, chicken, beef, you name it. Temp is steady and everything works as advertised. I've been smoking meat for 20 years, usually wood/charcoal, but I got so tired of having to constantly babysit my offset or my PBC cooker, so this pellet grill was a welcome change. The wood box feature is a GAME CHANGER! Both my neighbor buddies have "other expensive brand" pellet grills, and although they cook well, they never have the flavor you get from a stick burner. Now I can achieve that with this 36" MM pellet grill. Pro tip: Besides adding small chunks of wood to the smoker box, add a few charcoal briquettes here and there, too. Helps keep the wood burning. Great smoke flavor, constant steady temps! My last cook was an 8# pork shoulder that I cooked overnight. Was my first overnight cook that didn't require getting up at 2 am and again at 5, to stoke the fire basket. Best pork shoulder I've ever made. Started at 11 pm, pulled at noon, rested in Cambro until 4:00, then pulled and ate. 10 out of 10! Smoke box tip: Make sure you have a small chunk of wood in the box when you START the cook, because the controller is designed to give a little extra boost of fire at the beginning. As you add wood later, make sure it's pushed all the way to the back of the box, so it's closest to the fire. Lastly, if you have a small propane torch, that is very helpful for getting wood chunks burning in the middle of the cook. * * * Induction burner note: Like someone else mentioned in their review, I too thought there was a problem with my burner. There was not. The burner is very sensitive to proper contact between surface of burner and the bottom of pan. Make sure your cooking vessel is properly centered on the burner and made of a conductive material. For instance, aluminum pans do not work on induction cooktops. Support: I contacted the company that produces this for Sam's, and someone emailed me back within 12 hours to answer my question! Admittedly, I only reached out kind of as a test, to see if my inquiry would be ignored, or answered by someone 3 continents away. Got a reply back from someone in Texas that told me any replacement parts needed would ship from a U.S. warehouse. Bonus! Summary: I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. The only aspect I can't review right now would be longevity. However, based on quality of build, I'm confident I'll get many years out of this. Chef recommends! Overall I give it 4.7 out of 5 stars. Temp range needs to start around 160 to 180° - for cold smoking, and temp controller should offer 25° increments across the entire range, not just at the lower temps. Other than that, this is a winner.
